Gov. Pritzker Visits Springfield Business to Blame President Trump for Illinois’ Failed Business Policies

Just recently, Governor Pritzker took the opportunity to meet with a business owner in Springfield to discuss “Trump’s Tax on Working Families.” First of all, this is another lie straight from Pritzker to mask his failed business policies in Illinois that are killing small-businesses. For example, Senate Bill 1976 is regulatory bill that imposes additional red tape and costs on Illinois’ small business community.

Senate Bill 328 is egregious attack on business and economic development at a time when Illinois is already struggling to create jobs and keep people in our state. This new law creates imminent harm for Illinoisans by opening up the legal process to increased abuse by trial lawyers.

Illinois is already one of the most regulated states in the country, and Pritzker continues to enact legislation that slaps business owners with more mandates and less freedom. Illinois policies supported by Pritzker and progressive Democrats have business owners in shackles with no opportunity to thrive. Businesses are fleeing from Illinois to find a permanent home with less taxes, less mandates, and more opportunity.

Illinois’s Economic Policies Are Destroying Opportunity

The truth is, President Trump has given taxpayers and small-business owners the biggest tax reductions by signing the ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’ Pritzker can blame President Trump like he usually does, but under Republican leadership, businesses in every state will benefit from strong, commonsense policies that build economic growth. Pritzker can learn from President Trump’s policies and turn things around in Illinois, but he must accept the fact that progressive policies simply don’t work and they are hurting businesses across the state.
