Congratulations President Trump!
Gotion Remains a Threat
Please read this recent press release regarding a House Resolution to ban state incentives for the Gotion Electric Vehicle Battery company which is tied to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and is poised to set up shop in Illinois:
Springfield, IL…State Representative Chris Miller (R-Hindsboro) says the State of Illinois should not be giving taxpayer subsidies to the Chinese company Gotion. Rep. Miller filed HR960 in response to Pritzker gifting $125 million to Gotion.
“Our governor is doing more for a foreign company in Illinois that has ties to the Chinese Communist Party than he is for Illinois citizens,” said Miller. “He made a deal that shifts $536 million in taxpayer incentives right into the hands of Chinese stakeholders so he can have his resume stamped with fighting the climate change hoax.”
Gotion has raised flags in Michigan and Illinois with their plans to build electric vehicle (EV) battery plants on American soil. The plant in Manteno, Illinois, is facing growing opposition from all sides. Despite high concerns from local residents, Pritzker negotiated a deal behind closed doors, with no transparency, and with no local-resident input.
Miller continued, “This Chinese company poses a national security threat and Pritzker supports their agenda to displace U.S. and other competitors. Our state has no place in helping a foreign company who hates us and seeks to takeover American land and opportunities. I’m calling on Pritzker to stand up for the people of Illinois and to immediately rescind his agreement with Gotion.”

What Is the Intent Behind This Movement?
With all the serious problems facing our state, WHY do Illinois Democrats feel that redesigning our state flag is a priority? Attempting to revise history to suit their political agenda immediately comes to mind…
Here is a little background behind Senate Bill 1818 sponsored by Democrats (pictured below) Senator Doris Turner (left- Springfield) and Representative Kam Buckner (right- Chicago):

I joined Jeanne Ives to discuss recent bills filed in Illinois. The segment was done over Facebook. If you want to hear the discussion you can listen HERE.
Here is just a snapshot of the bills I have filed so far. More information on each bill will be forthcoming.
How to Engage with the Legislature this Session
This month, the Illinois General Assembly returned to session, with a scheduled conclusion in May. During session, legislators spend a significant amount of time in Springfield. This can make it difficult for residents to engage with the legislative process, but there are options to stay involved.
- Communicate with legislators. This is one of the ways residents can continue to stay involved and further engage. Elected officials offer email addresses, district and Springfield office locations, office numbers, and surveys that residents can utilize: contact information can be found on ilga.gov/house. In both district and Springfield offices, legislators have different staff that field calls, emails, and meetings with residents and then report back to the official. Each legislator has a varying set up, but typically, either office may be contacted to leave a message for the legislator.
- Utilize a legislator’s government social media and website. Each House Republican member has a legislative website you can view updates on session, legislation, and upcoming events. On these websites and applications, legislators update the residents of their district on daily and weekly occurrences with information on legislation, events, district updates, Springfield updates, projects, and resources.
- Watch legislative session live on the Illinois General Assembly (ILGA) website. You can see the action on the House floor, and much more! This is a state website that encompasses all elements of bills, committees, legislators, audio and video, and more that is all crucial to the legislative processes. The site is free to use and is updated frequently to reflect changes.

“We’re in an energy war with China, not a green energy war.”
When will Illinois Democrats understand this simple truth as stated in the above comment from Scott Bessent and Stephen Moore in his email on the topic. Bessent calmly pointed out that China is racing all right… to build coal plants. And he added that the real ” race” is who will dominate all energy sources. He’s right: fossil fuels are still over 80% of our energy sources. Wind and solar, for all their hype, are just a small fraction of a fraction.
Unfair Chamber Rules
Both Illinois chambers are required to approve the rules for daily operations, but the Democrat Supermajority was unwilling to change the rules for the newly elected 104th General Assembly to allow for more transparency for taxpayers and public participation in state government.
Secrecy and deception keep the Democrats in control:
Based on the outrageous legislation that comes out of Springfield, it may feel like there is an insurmountable imbalance, and the deck is stacked. But, take a look at this map from the 2024 election that paints the REAL picture:
Dems Get Taxpayers To Fund Their Horrible Policies One Way Or Another
The Illinois Democrat Supermajority’s unserious, uncreative ‘one size fits all’ solution for everything is to soak Illinoisans for their hard-earned money. They like to put shiny labels like ‘property tax relief’ on their schemes, but it always boils down to one thing: their lazy and self-serving motives.
This interview with Wirepoints’ Ted Dabrowski on WZUS Decatur Radio explains:
What Don’t They Get???
During the final days of Illinois’ lame duck session, slow-learning Democrats outlined a bill (HB 587) that ‘updates’ the already disastrous state policies on energy. The measure is headed to Governor Pritzker’s desk and includes more flexibility to meet goals for solar and wind and corrects a problem with large utilities to be able to start renewable projects.
The state’s current goals of reaching 100% renewable energy by 2050 are not even close to being successfully achieved, and the costs of these ill-conceived policies will hit taxpayers and ratepayers hard.
