Concerns continue to grow for Illinois residents as thousands of illegal immigrants pour into our state. My colleagues and I have traveled to the southern border and we have traveled to Chicago to see first-hand how this growing crisis is effecting our country and the state of Illinois.
Chicago residents are furious about how the city and Pritzker is addressing the crisis and they are demanding action from their legislators to fix this problem that’s effecting their lives. Republicans took action to visit Chicago, have lunch with concerned local residents, and listen to their voices. Their voices need to be heard in public hearings which is why my colleagues and I formally sent a letter to Speaker Chris Welch requesting public hearings be conducted to hear the voices of local residents that are being directly impacted by illegal immigration.
