Governor Pritzker Lifts Mask Mandate, Rep. Miller Issues Statement

Governor J.B. Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced plans to remove the mask mandate beginning on February 28th except for schoolchildren. State Representative Chris Miller (R-Oakland) issued the following statement:

“For nearly two years Governor Pritzker enforced his covid mitigations and ignored science. Now, following the footsteps of his Democrat ally, the Governor of California – he decided to remove his mask mandate for everyone except our children. It’s time for Governor Pritzker to stop ignoring science and let parents decide what is best for their children. Pritzker’s mask mandate failed to receive approval in court. He needs to stop fighting the courts to enforce his mask mandate in our schools, follow science and remove his mask mandate for all.”
