According to U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement, Jose Gregorio Sosa Cardona, a Venezuelan national and lawful permanent resident of Downers Grove, Ill., operated Delta Global Solutions Inc., a company that worked with individuals applying for asylum, immigrant visas, permanent resident cards and other immigration benefits.
- Between 2020 and 2024, Sosa and two employees knowingly submitted false information to USCIS for their clients, many of whom were also Venezuelan.
- Sosa also falsely claimed to be an attorney licensed in Ohio and California.
A grand jury returned a seven-count indictment, which was later increased to 13-counts, and ICE HSI took him into custody last March.
Our special agents also assisted with the investigation that linked Sosa to more than 2,500 immigration form filings.
Sosa will serve nine years in federal prison for his crimes
