House Democrats just passed a bill allowing kids of any age to obtain birth control without parental consent. Springfield Democrats continue to attack parents’ rights and act like they are doing everyone a favor. Parents have a fundamental right and responsibility to be involved in their children’s healthcare decisions, including medications they put in their bodies. Cutting parents out of these critical conversations undermines families and weakens parental rights.
Illinois families deserve transparency, accountability, and policies that support parents — not legislation that kicks them out of the equation. I want my constituents to know I will always stand up for parents and will continue fighting to ensure families have a voice in the decisions impacting their children.
