State Rep. Miller Slams Governor Pritzker Over Illinois’ Affordability Crisis
Springfield, IL…State Representative Chris Miller (R-Hindsboro) held a press conference at the Capitol calling out policies he says are driving up the cost of living across Illinois. Miller says over 300 bills have passed through the House this year, yet there has been very little action taken by Democrats to give meaningful relief to families.
“JB Pritzker has made Illinois less affordable and continues to blame President Trump instead of supporting legislation that would actually help families in our communities,” said Miller. “Every taxpayer and business in our state deserves better than higher taxes, higher costs, and excuses from Springfield.”
Miller pointed to increased government spending, rising taxes, and burdensome regulations as the drivers behind Illinois’ affordability challenges.
“For years, Illinois families have been asked to pay more while getting less,” Miller said. “Instead of addressing these challenges, Democratic leadership continues to double down on the same failed policies.”
State Rep. Chris Miller Votes No on “Mega Projects” Bill

Springfield, IL…The House of Representatives passed House Bill 910, the so-called “Mega Projects” Bill last night in Springfield. State Representative Chris Miller (R-Hindsboro) says the legislation is tailored for special interests’ groups and will shift taxes on families who are already pay the highest tax rates in the nation.
“I support economic growth and relief for working families, but this bill misses the mark,” said Miller. “Let’s be clear, the Democrats created this mess because of years of bad policies that do not incentivize businesses to invest in Illinois. Now, they are picking winners and losers in an effort to keep the Chicago Bears from moving to Indiana. I voted no on this bill because taxpayers need protected, businesses need protected, and our state deserves better than uncertain pilot programs that create an unfair playing field.”
Miller says HB910 gives major corporations decades-long tax advantages while leaving homeowners, small businesses, and local taxpayers to make up the difference.
Dead People Selected for Jury Duty in Illinois

JB Pritzker must explain this…
One Illinois county recently summoned a jury pool that included 60 confirmed dead people. This finding suggests a larger issue with how the state compiles juror lists and must be investigated. This is a major problem that should be resolved immediately to protect our citizens’ right to a fair trial in Illinois.
60 dead people found on Illinois jury panel, triggering constitutional challenge
State Representative Chris Miller said this is statewide corruption:
“This is yet another example of statewide corruption that exposes dead people still active on voter rolls,” said Miller. ” We should be auditing every county in Illinois and JB Pritzker should be sending the data to the federal government as requested.”
I filed House Bill 1498 to remove deceased voters from registration lists faster and increase oversight and reporting. We must protect our elections at all costs and I will support legislation that ensures the citizens of Illinois receive fair elections that are free of fraud…read more.

Delusional Dems Want To Be Rewarded For Failure

Illinois’ Supermajority Democrat Party still doesn’t get it. Their success statistics are abysmal (if they exist at all) and the citizens of the state have stated loud and clear that they want school choice as their #1 option.
And what is the Democrat response? Same as always…
THEY WANT MORE MONEY
As Illinois’ high school graduation rate is on track to plunge 32%, and the state’s higher education funding is already double the national average, Illinois State Representative Carol Ammons (D- Champaign-Urbana, pictured below) has introduced House Bill 1581 which would give the state’s public universities $135 million a year over the next 15 years!!

The language in this bill is vague gobbledygook at best:

Millionaire Tax Amendment Fails

Even the Supermajority Democrats couldn’t get behind it.
The amendment’s proponents would like voters to see it on the November ballot, but that’s not likely to happen. In its current state, the proposed tax would create a 3% tax on income over $1 million and the revenue would (supposedly) go to property tax relief and K-12 education.
There are SO many things wrong with the thinking behind this proposed tax, but let’s start here:
- Why is throwing more money at problems Democrats’ solution to absolutely EVERYTHING?
- $1 million really doesn’t go that far these days (especially in Illinois). Why should people who are trying hard to be successful be punished for it?
- If Democrats really want to give property tax relief, then GIVE LEGITIMATE PROPERTY TAX RELIEF!!
- Democrats have run the Illinois public school system into the ground despite the obscene amount of taxpayer money they have already miserably mismanaged. Why should they get MORE money?
- Illinois already has a flat income tax in the constitution, and voters rejected a proposal in 2020 to implement a graduated income tax structure.
Note to Democrats:
Try coming up with some original ideas that will actually benefit Illinoisans.

Do Illinois Dems Take Responsibility For Anything?
Illinois may be losing upwards of $700 million in penalties under new federal law because of INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP that made too many mistakes in determining who qualifies for federal food aid.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Illinois’ Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) error rate was 11.56% in 2024- worse than 38 other states and higher than the national average.
In order to protect taxpayers and struggling families, the state must increase its administrative precision, but they’re already trying to pass the buck and make Illinoisans responsible for their failures.
Now, the Illinois Department of Human Services wants taxpayers to pay for their shoddy performance.
The Illinois Department of Human Services Secretary, Dulce Quintero (pictured below) is seeking, at minimum, $40 million dollars from state taxpayers due to ‘federal policy changes’.

Um, NO. Your negligence created this mess, Sec. Quintero- not the federal government.
FIGURE IT OUT.
That’s what grown-ups do.

It’s All Democrats Know How To Do
If your ideas can’t win on their own merits, you might want to reevaluate them
OR
If you are genuinely incapable of coming up with good ideas…just make up your own rules and cheat!
As all eyes are on Virginia’s redistricting fight, Illinois Democrats are moving House Joint Resolution Constitutional Amendment 28 which would elevate race-based considerations to direct legislative mapmakers. Even though the amendment would dismantle constitutional guardrails that have governed Illinois redistricting for 50 years, Governor Pritzker doesn’t seem to care about that. He campaigned on a promise to veto partisan maps but went ahead and signed off on them anyway.
