“…A Stunning Moment was When Not One Democrat Would Stand Up and Say That They Were Willing to Put American Citizens In Front of Illegal Aliens.”
Listen to My Short Response to the State of the Union Speech on my Facebook Page.

The Governor spoke for nearly 50 minutes as he gave his state of the state and budget address and not once did he mention the words “property taxes.” He also didn’t mention anything about Da Bears. And yet, the topic of a new stadium for the Chicago Bears occupied the media and the legislature’s attention all week long.
It’s now obvious why neither were mentioned. First, under Governor Pritzer, Illinois became the state with the highest property taxes in the nation. It is the leading reason that people move out of the state and likely the biggest reason that people move just over the Indiana border. More people move to Indiana than to Illinois routinely. The second reason there was no mention of property taxes or The Bears is because the football team is looking for a massive property tax break and a frozen assessment for 40 years.
Gov. Pritzker surely knows he is on shaky footing to bring up a massive property tax break for a multi-billion dollar enterprise and stiff everyone else who is paying these immoral taxes.
Let’s not forget that Florida passed a bill out of their House that would eliminate property taxes for residents.
The House was set to hear legislation last week on a “Mega Project” bill that was written to entice the Bears to build in Illinois. That meeting was canceled last month at the Bears request since they were in talks with Indiana. Last Thursday, the House hearing took place and HB 910 passed the Revenue and Finance Committee in a 13-7 partisan vote.
In addition to a 40-year property tax freeze at a negotiated much lower amount, the bill requires a 20% diversity spend based on race, a project labor agreement for the work done, and grants a 10-year sales tax exemption on building materials. Mega Projects aren’t just for the Bears stadium. This bill would allow other projects with investments at the $100 million to $500 million range to qualify.
While Illinois dithered, Indiana passed a Bears stadium bill and Governor Braun signed the legislation in about a week’s time.
My bottom line – if Pritzker wants to make a deal on property taxes, then We the People get a deal on property taxes too.

Dishonest, Negligent And RUDE

Delia Ramirez (US House of Representatives, IL- 3rd District who proudly proclaims to be Guatemalan first, American second) decided to use President Trump’s recent State of the Union address as an opportunity to showcase her politically driven drama. She and the other childish Democrats who ‘boycotted’ the President’s address seem to forget that they were elected to represent EVERYONE in their district, (not just those who agree with them 100%), and it was their duty to be in attendance on our behalf.
They took an oath of office.
She (along with Illinois’ Sean Casten, Jan Schakowsky and others) not only thumbed her nose at all of Illinois with her bad behavior, she joined our master-of-deception governor in LYING about why we should tolerate their disrespect.

Democrats Want To Deny Money For Illinois Students

Pritzker and his Supermajority Democrats are happy to take and misuse federal COVID relief funds for their personal pet projects, but suddenly they’re opposed to any ‘Trump’ money that would benefit Illinois students and their families.
DECEITFUL HYPOCRITES.
They have now proposed legislation (Senate Bill 3966) that would prohibit Illinois from opting into the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program, which provides privately donated funds for tutoring, fees for dual enrollment, educational therapies for students with disabilities and other academic needs.
Illinoisans would still be ‘allowed’ to donate to the federal fund, (and benefit from the tax credit), but their money would go to students in OTHER STATES. Over half of the states in the country have already committed to opting into the program.
We all know what their real motivation is behind this heartless agenda- more money and power for them and the corrupt teacher unions that spend million$$ to get them elected.

Illinois Is A Fiscal Train Wreck
Prior to Governor Pritzker’s fantastical State of the State & Budget Address, the Deputy State Director of Americans For Prosperity-Illinois (AFP-IL), Brian Costin, had this to say:
“When it comes to state finances, Governor J.B. Pritzker has compiled the worst record of any governor in modern American history. Independent, nonpartisan authorities say Illinois has the worst tax burden, the worst bond rating, and the worst financial transparency in the nation. You do not get those rankings by accident. “
“Illinois is a case study in fiscal failure and has held the lowest bond rating of any state for more than a decade. After eight years under Governor Pritzker, Illinoisans have learned to be skeptical of his budget promises, because the fine print has meant higher taxes, more borrowing, and less transparency.”

Pritzker Wants To Usurp Local Authority

For someone who detests authority, JB Pritzker sure likes to wield his own. In his recent State of the State & Budget Address, not only did he unapologetically inform Illinoisans that he plans to spend a record amount of THEIR hard-earned money, he also aims to take away more of their autonomy on how it should be spent.
He is proposing statewide zoning laws that would bring Section 8 housing to EVERY neighborhood.
He backs up his power-trip-plan with a study done by the University of Illinois, but (as usual) he has a problem with the truth. This article lays out the details proving that his housing affordability argument is another Pritzker Myth that needs to be called out and challenged:
Is It True?

March weather (especially in the Midwest) is very unpredictable and can feel like spring one day and winter the next!
We humans like to make sense of things and generally prefer some type of balance in our lives. This is why the saying ‘in like a lion, out like a lamb’ came about. We crave predictability!
But there is no science behind it.
Still, this and other March ‘weather lore’ is fun to explore:
