The State of The State & Budget Address was too predictable. Both Governor Pritzker and Speak Welch acknowledged Illinois is not affordable, but quickly put the blame on President Trump. The facts are obvious though- Biden created an inflation crisis with his policies and Pritzker has destroyed the quality of life in Illinois with his policies. Affordability has been destroyed under Pritzker and progressive Democrats, while neighboring states remain more competitive. Remember, Illinois families are denied federal relief through “No Tax on Tips or Overtime” and decoupled our state tax code to collect even more taxes. The real reason why Illinois has so many financial issues is because Illinois’ budget has ballooned with a nearly 40% increase in state spending since Pritzker took office- let that sink in.
