JB Pritzker has signed nearly 300 bills into law and not one helps lower the cost of living for Illinois families. The radical Democrats have wasted taxpayer funds on illegal immigrants, pork projects, and NGOs all through 2025 while lying to the people of Illinois. To make matters worse, Pritzker has refused to enact federal tax cuts that would help families and businesses. They put on a good act and pretend they are making great strides, but the reality is no one is better off, tax dollars are being wasted, the budget keeps increasing, criminals roam free, and there is no fiscal responsibility as Illinois slips through the drain of radical policies. One thing is clear, Illinois taxpayers deserve better, business owners deserve better, and we need change or more people will be voting with their feet. Below is a snapshot of how the Pritzker regime unloaded attacks against hard-working families in 2025.
- Raised taxes on Illinois families, even denying federal relief through “No Tax on Tips and Overtime” and decoupling from federal business incentivesÂ
- Signed a state budget that relies on $1 billion in tax increases, fund sweeps, and other shady gimmicks
- Illinois’ bill backlog has ballooned from $416 million at the beginning of FY25 to $1.74 billion today
- Signed new laws that will continue to push businesses out of the state
- Avoided the tragic failures at DCFS and the 1,200 children who have died under DCFS care throughout his administration. In his year-end roundup he mentioned zero changes within DCFS.
- Doubled down on sanctuary state policies, giving illegal immigrants scholarships, legal protections, and immigration enforcement-free zones Â
- Broke the transportation lock box, transferring $500 million from downstate roads and bridges to bail out Chicago mass transit
- Raised taxes and tolls on suburban residents to fund the mass transit bailout
- Refused to fix Illinois’ energy crisis and supports policies that raise families’ electric costs
- Denied House Republicans’ FOIA request to share information on where his own agencies identified cost savings at his direction
- Doubled down on the most gerrymandered legislative redistricting map in the nation after promising not to sign a partisan-drawn map
- Signed new laws that will make Illinois’ energy crisis worse and will continue to raise Illinois families’ energy bills for years to come.Â
State Rep. Chris Miller said Governor Pritzker should be impeached for not protecting Illinois citizens:
“This past year has been a complete disaster for everyone who lives in Illinois, all because of Pritzker and the pro-criminal Democrats,” said Miller. “We have a governor who cares more about protecting illegal immigrants and criminals than supporting policies that help families and businesses get ahead. Every lie and every dime going to NGOs is a slap in the face to Illinois citizens.”
