State Representative Chris Miller wants answers after an illegal immigrant has been given a badge and firearm after being in the United States illegally for more than a decade. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested Radule Bojovic in October for being in the county illegally. He posted bond and returned to work at the Hanover Park Police Department.
Rep. Miller issued the following statement:
“Governor Pritzker has destroyed the rule of law in the state of Illinois. We should never allow illegal immigrants to become police officers and give them the authority to arrest and detain American citizens. It’s absolutely insane to me that radical Democrats in Illinois have allowed illegal immigrants to drain our resources and even become police officers.”
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has said Bojovich, who is from Montenegro, was living in the U.S. on a tourist visa that expired on March 31, 2015.
