State Rep. Chris Miller Files Articles of Impeachment Against JB Pritzker
SPRINGFIELD, IL…State Representative Chris Miller (R-Hindsboro) filed articles of impeachment against Governor JB Pritzker. Miller says HR0466 is aimed to hold the governor responsible for using dangerous rhetoric and inciting violence in Illinois and across the nation.
“Governor JB Pritzker has become a clear and present danger to the people of Illinois. His reckless words, calling for nationwide protests, disruption, and even encouraging his radical followers to be “street fighters,” are not just irresponsible — they are dangerous,” Miller said. “Illinois families are already less safe under his failed policies, and now his rhetoric is pouring gasoline on the fire. Threats against half of our citizens and open hostility toward the legislature are not the actions of a governor who respects democracy — they are the tactics of a bully desperate to cling to power.”
Rep. Miller filed HR0466 on September 12, 2025 in his efforts to hold Governor Pritzker accountable for his actions.
Miller continued, “Let me be absolutely clear: Governor Pritzker has destroyed the values of this state. His words intimidate, divide, and destabilize Illinois citizens and that alone is grounds for impeachment. No elected official — especially the governor — can make threats to the people he is sworn to serve and expect not to be held accountable. It is time for the legislature to act. The citizens of Illinois deserve safety, stability, and a governor who respects their rights — not one who stirs up chaos to protect his own political agenda.”
