It’s Time to Terminate The Green New Scam
If Illinois wants to preserve reliable and affordable energy, we to terminate the Green New Scam now! Pritzker and progressive Democrats continue to waste money on fighting a problem that doesn’t exist. There is no climate crisis, but Illinois has created and energy crisis and lacks the common sense to support energy policies that keep rates down and our grid stable. Despite warnings of blackouts and brownouts, the progressive party still believes solar and wind projects are going to benefit residents and businesses. Furthermore, I’m on the Energy and Environment Committee and we did not meet one time during session to discuss our energy crisis. Illinois Democrats are silent about challenging issues in our state, and they continue to gaslight Illinois residents.
The push for solar and wind energy, while eliminating coal-fired power plants, has cost billions for businesses and homeowners. Energy prices are skyrocketing and progressive Democrats have no one to blame but themselves for passing legislation to combat a climate hoax. I’m calling on Governor Pritzker to end his wasteful spending on energy projects that are dead in the water.

Gov. Pritzker Visits Springfield Business to Blame President Trump for Illinois’ Failed Business Policies
Just recently, Governor Pritzker took the opportunity to meet with a business owner in Springfield to discuss “Trump’s Tax on Working Families.” First of all, this is another lie straight from Pritzker to mask his failed business policies in Illinois that are killing small-businesses. For example, Senate Bill 1976 is regulatory bill that imposes additional red tape and costs on Illinois’ small business community.

Senate Bill 328 is egregious attack on business and economic development at a time when Illinois is already struggling to create jobs and keep people in our state. This new law creates imminent harm for Illinoisans by opening up the legal process to increased abuse by trial lawyers.
Illinois is already one of the most regulated states in the country, and Pritzker continues to enact legislation that slaps business owners with more mandates and less freedom. Illinois policies supported by Pritzker and progressive Democrats have business owners in shackles with no opportunity to thrive. Businesses are fleeing from Illinois to find a permanent home with less taxes, less mandates, and more opportunity.
Illinois’s Economic Policies Are Destroying Opportunity
The truth is, President Trump has given taxpayers and small-business owners the biggest tax reductions by signing the ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’ Pritzker can blame President Trump like he usually does, but under Republican leadership, businesses in every state will benefit from strong, commonsense policies that build economic growth. Pritzker can learn from President Trump’s policies and turn things around in Illinois, but he must accept the fact that progressive policies simply don’t work and they are hurting businesses across the state.

A Village in the Heart of Illinois Amish Country – Arthur, Illinois
llinois has small-town charm that can be found in villages across the state, but one village has been a destination for everyone who wants to experience the Amish culture and lifestyle. Arthur is a village in Douglas and Moultrie counties in Illinois and is home to the largest and oldest Amish community in the state. The friendly atmosphere welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors every year and has one motto: “You’re a stranger only once.” On September 2, 1873, Michael H. Warren entered the plat for the original town that would become Arthur, Illinois. This unique village is a popular destination for anyone seeking traditional Amish lifestyle and customs.
Arthur is located in the 101st District which State Representative Chris Miller represents. Rep. Miller says he visits Arthur often to talk to locals.
“The community of Arthur represents values everyone can learn from, and the food is always homegrown, fresh, and clean,” said Miller. “The Amish have a way of life that is inspiring: they work hard, and they do more with less. I am proud to represent them and to highlight the many contributions they make to our region.”
Over the years, the village of Arthur has experienced significant growth in tourism and now offers locally led tours so visitors can explore behind the scenes. Amish homes throughout the community offer “comfort” meals along with storytellers who describe the history behind the historical settlement which has grown to 4,500 members. The tour also provides insights into the cornerstones of the Amish economy that include farming, carpentry, and quilt making. Many visitors don’t leave empty-handed as the community offers a variety of old-fashioned stores that sell home grown and locally made products. From hand-carved wooden furniture to one-of-a-kind objects, the village of Arthur has something for everyone.
If anyone in Illinoi is familiar with the village of Arthur, they know about the best farm-to-fork meals that come from Yoder’s Kitchen. The owner, Anna Herschberger, was raised in a traditional Amish home and her mother served homemade meals to many customers through her business, Miller’s Home Cooking. Today, Anna shares her love of cooking and serving food to thousands of people a year, but it didn’t come easy. In 1994, Anna began working as a waitress at Yoder’s Kitchen while learning about the restaurant business. It wasn’t until 2002 that Anna took the big leap to purchasing the business. In 2016, Anna knew the business was outgrowing the space she had and expanded the restaurant with a 4,500 square foot addition that she named “The Porch”. In 2025, Yoder’s Kitchen continues to serve loyal and new customers with traditional Amish meals. Plus, they have their own bakery where they make fresh bread, pastries, and crowd favorite Amish peanut butter.
Arthur, Illinois is a dynamic and unique community nested between Indianapolis and Springfield that provides a safe place to live, work, and visit. You’ll be sure to see plenty of buggies on the town streets, parking lots and country roads. The rich history of this Amish village will continue to attract people from miles away for years to come. Pritzker Is Crossing A Dangerous Line

Instead of focusing on EDUCATING your children, Governor Pritzker wants to stick his nose into their mental health status. He considers it his job to make their well-being his business instead of yours. No two children are alike, and you know your child better than anyone, yet he wants to unleash his army of ‘professionals’ to manage the mental health of children he has never met.
Why would you trust a failing education system with anything personal in your child’s life?
Not only is Pritzker’s dismal public education system betraying your children, the governor is using those same allocated taxpayer dollars (YOUR MONEY) to pay for schooling illegal immigrants. A new Illinois law prohibits schools from denying access to a FREE education based on immigration status and also requires schools to have procedures for law enforcement requests to enter a building.

The U.S. unauthorized immigrant population reached a record 14 million in 2023.
Illinois had 550,000 of them.https://www.pewresearch.org/race-and-ethnicity/2025/08/21/u-s-unauthorized-immigrant-population-reached-a-record-14-million-in-2023/?org=982&lvl=100&ite=16657&lea=4523156&ctr=0&par=1&trk=a0DQm000007C6btMAC

Even Some Obama Democrats Think It’s Unfair
A group of former Obama administration officials believe that the current legislative redistricting process in Illinois leads to overrepresentation of Democrats in Springfield’s General Assembly (hence their ongoing title of ‘Supermajority’). Their proposal, Fair Maps Illinois, would reform how the state draws district maps by passing a state constitutional amendment via a ballot initiative during the 2026 general election. This would not affect the Congressional map, but it’s a start.
Governor Pritzker hates the idea. He would like to cement the unfair mapping process in perpetuity claiming that Fair Maps Illinois would be ‘unilaterally disarming Democrats’.
Yeah, right.
Just one more example of the governor twisting the truth (aka lying).

The Education Bloat Continues
On top of spending a significant portion of Illinois’ education budget on teacher’s union politics while simultaneously overseeing the downward spiral of student enrollment, proficiency and standards, what is the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to do?
Spend more money, of course.
If that sounds ridiculous, it’s because it is. But it’s exactly what the state is doing.
Instead of addressing the real problems with legitimate solutions, ISBE is also maniacally suggesting that lowering academic standards will fix everything.
Illinois State Superintendent of Education Tony Sanders is trying to sell the lie that changing labels on students will improve his rotten public education system. ISBE lowered the scores needed for students to be considered proficient in reading and math, so *POOF*, they’re better at reading and math. See how easy that was?
Of course we all know better and should DEMAND better. Get the lazy, inept people at the top out, and replace them with real, competent leadership.
ENOUGH ALREADY.

And one more thing…
Pull the power plug on the teacher’s unions. No amount of money will ever satisfy their corrupt appetite:

Violent Crime Database To Go Online
Illinois residents will be able to access the data by September 2026.
Governor Pritzker signed house bill 1710 which will require the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) to create a database sorting cases that have been cleared or closed by law enforcement. The ICJIA has until September 1st to create the database, and the Illinois State Police will submit statistics gathered by local law enforcement agencies beginning July 1st, 2026.
We can only hope that this will help keep Illinois’ leadership honest.

Time For Fall Garden Projects!
There are still plenty of growing days left in the season, and late summer is the perfect time to plant quick-growing veggies that thrive in cold weather. It’s also a great time to start mulching around newly planted trees and perennials to protect them from cold Illinois winters.
