“Under this scenario, energy costs for homes and businesses would rise by approximately 14% annually for the next 25 years.”

The headline and excerpt above are from a press release by key business groups.

The opening paragraph states:

“A new report issued by the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA), Chemical Industry Council of Illinois (CICI), International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 150, and the Illinois Pipe Trades Association (IPTA) warns a government-mandated push toward full electrification in Illinois could impose more than $1 trillion in costs by 2050, driving up energy bills for businesses and consumers by more than 2,000 percent, threatening energy reliability and the state’s economic stability.”

My colleagues and I warned businesses and residents FOUR YEARS AGO that Pritzker’s green energy scam would be wildly expensive and unworkable.

Listen HERE

We know it is also unworkable no matter how much you spend. But, Pritzker will spend whatever amount of your tax money he can to try to prove that wind and solar backed by expensive batteries and nuclear is all that we need in Illinois for electrification of all facets of life.

Pritzker is lying. And now the business community is speaking up. Finally.

My colleagues and I will call, again, for comprehensive energy hearings and hope the business community joins us.

Gotion is a threat to Illinois and the Nation

Gotion has well-documented ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and JB Pritzker supports their agenda that imposes security risks. Despite red flags and warnings from top officials, the State of Illinois used taxpayer funds to subsidize $536 million to help Gotion acquire land and build a lithium battery factory in Manteno, Illinois. Now, more details have emerged that shed light on how Chinese companies are creating a real threat to our national security. Gotion has no place in Illinois, period.

According to Mark Glennon from Wirepoints, some Chinese-made electrical products have now been found to contain “kill switches,” which are backdoor, unauthorized components that would allow somebody to remotely disable or turn off the device. This is a national security risk to our power grids as progressive Democrats continue to support Chinese solar projects.

“This Chinese company poses a national security threat and Pritzker supports their agenda to displace U.S. and other competitors. Our state has no place in helping a foreign company who hates us and seeks to takeover American land and opportunities. I’m calling on Pritzker to stand up for the people of Illinois and to immediately rescind his agreement with Gotion.”

Flipping The Script

Democrats want taxpayers to pay for illegal immigrants’ healthcare, but they don’t want federal assistance for the school children of Illinois.

It is crystal clear where their priorities lie.

The recently passed ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act’ provides a dollar-to-dollar tax credit for individual taxpayers who donate up to $1,700 annually to “scholarship granting organizations” which give money to students to cover private-school tuition and other education expenses.

Illinois schools are failing miserably under their watch, yet Governor J.B. Pritzker and Senator Dick Durbin are rejecting this proposal outright.

This Wall Street Journal opinion piece lays it all out:

Illinois Is Dead Last in Financial Transparency

Truth In Accounting’s recent report ranks Illinois at the bottom of the 50-state barrel when it comes to being forthright about its finances. The Pritzker Administration still has not issued its 2023 state financial report, and its 2022 report received a ‘disclaimer of opinion’ (otherwise known as ‘fiction’).

More Job Losses In Illinois

The state saw massive layoffs (1,782 jobs) in June, including (ironically) two Chicago firms that

HELP PEOPLE FIND JOBS!

CareerBuilder LLC and Moster Worldwide LLC is laying off 390 workers on August 4 as they prepare to shut down their Chicago headquarters.

And the Democrat party running the show in Illinois refuses to account for or even acknowledge their woeful excuse for leadership by lying about what’s really going on.

Instead, they should try improving the business climate by being responsible and honest:

  • Reduce the state’s nation-tax burden, beginning with property taxes
  • Lower corporate income taxes
  • Lower the state’s maximum unemployment insurance tax rate.

Let’s just start there. It’s not that complicated.

One More Tax…Why Not?

Illinois already has the highest cell phone taxes in the country, and they just got higher because Democrats will tax anything they can get their hands on.

Going back on his previous promise, Gov. J.B. Pritzker approved another tax increase on cell phones in his recent, record-high state budget of $55.2 billion.

The latest tax increase was imposed on July 1 and put Illinois’ tax rate at nearly 38%- including the highest local wireless tax in the country!

THIS. AFFECTS. EVERYONE.

This Month in American History

On July 22, 1934, bank robber John Dillinger was shot and killed by FBI agents as he left Chicago’s Biograph Movie Theater after watching the film ‘Manhattan Melodrama’ starring Clark Gable and Myrna Loy.

Dillinger was the first criminal labeled by the FBI as ‘Public Enemy No. 1’.

Dillinger went on a deadly crime spree through the Midwest, including Illinois, and was reportedly betrayed by the ‘Lady In Red’.

Here are 10 things you may not know about the infamous gangster:
