Friday Freedom Flushing by IL Democrats

This week we witnessed the radical Democrats steamroll the freedoms of Illinois citizens with their bad bills. This week, 379 bills were rammed through the chamber: 314 Democrat Bills, and 65 Republican bills. Our state continues to suffer because Pritzker’s regime is focused on protecting criminals, funding illegal immigrants, raising taxes, and creating more mandates. The billionaire governor is taking trips to Mexico to discuss business opportunities while businesses in Illinois are closing shop or moving to other states that are more business-friendly.

We spent long hours this week in session with very little to show, other than a stack of bad bills that continue to destroy the state of Illinois. Democrats ignore the needs of Illinois families and small-businesses and it reflects in the economy, outmigration, and high unemployment rates. One thing is crystal clear, Democrats will never represent working families. Their appetite for power, money, spending, and borrowing has plagued opportunities and drained taxpayers.

I always say the fight for freedom never ends, and unless we want to turn things around in Illinois we need to stand up against the Democratic machine and expose their bad policies that are destroying the fabric of freedom.

Here is a snapshot of bad bills that passed through the House this week:

HB1600: Prohibits restaurants using a third-party food delivery platform or third-party online ordering platform from providing single-use foodware unless specifically requested by the consumer.

HB1305: Amends the Environmental Protection Act- filing fees for specified petitions increase from $75 to $250

HB2771: Amends the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Increases certificate fees from $10 to $65 when the Department of Public Health issues certificates such as health certificates, or an equivalent, to Illinois food, dairy, drug, cosmetic, or medical device manufacturers, processors, packers, or warehousers.

HB3248: Health insurance companies required to provide coverage for medically necessary laser hair removal

HB3755: Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Vehicle insurance policies may not exclude theft coverage for lack of evidence of forcible entry

HB2927: Requires schools to suspend all instruction in history education. Requires the State Superintendent of Education to review comprehensive standards that a school may use as a guide in replacing or developing its curricula for history education.

Out of the hundreds of bills passed in the House this week, nothing has been done to address high taxes, the cost of living, or relief from unnecessary regulations. Progressive Democrats in Illinois work for the CTU and big donors, not the people.
