Chicago is in deep trouble with nearly $1 billion shortfall of 2025 budget. This time is different though because Mayor Johnson will not have federal stimulus funding to help him fix the crisis he created. The incompetence and out-of-control spending on illegal immigrants has caused communities in Chicago to suffer and it’s not fair to taxpayers. To make matters worse, Johnson said he has not ruled out raising property taxes (even more) to account for his poor choices.
