The GOTION DEAL MUST END!

On Friday, the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party met at Green Charter Township in Michigan to discuss electrical vehicle battery maker Gotion and its ties to the Chinese Communist Party and slave labor.  The reports emanating from that discussion are alarming.

Expert testimony was given from folks who monitor the Chinese military, intelligence agencies, and companies that are adversarial to the United States. Also, giving testimony was Amanda Piker, from Concerned Citizens of Manteno. My colleagues and I stood with Amanda in the first press conference opposing the Gotion deal in Illinois.

NOW, we know so much more and it is frightening.

Governor Pritzker wasting our money, but he is supporting the CCP and slave labor in doing so.

The Gotion deal MUST END!

Illinois’ Poor Economic Performance

A recent CGFA report outlines Illinois’ poor economic performance compared to other states. There’s no reason our state should be lagging the nation in any of these metrics. We have the power to change the trajectory of our state by reversing the bad public policies that drive people and job creators away from Illinois. Pritzker and the radical Democrats are either blind to the truth or they simply don’t care.

Read more about the CGFA report and see the numbers that point downward here.

Chicago ranks as one of most stressed cities in country

“J.B. Pritzker has destroyed safety and security in the city,” Miller told The Center Square. “The second thing that I think would be causing people stress is as a parent they’re turning the education system into not much more than an indoctrination center for the Radical Left. Then, there’s just the influx of illegal immigrants that are getting the gold card given to them when everybody else is having to pay for the illegal aliens that invaded the city. All those things combined, I can see why people are stressed out there.”

Illinois Unemployment Jumps To 5%

It is the third-worst in the United States in June 2024 sending approximately 328,000 Illinoisans looking for work.

It exceeds the national average of 4.1% and is higher than any of our neighboring states.

Illinois has so many advantages, especially its geographic location, but we are remarkably disabled because of the lack of state leadership that continues to pump out failing public policies and high taxation.

Now Is a Very Good Time To Say ‘I Told You So’

And there’s no better way to do it than to give the ‘perpetrators of bad ideas’ a taste of their own medicine.

‘Sanctuary City’ Chicago is expecting tens of thousands of additional migrants to arrive between now and the time it officially begins hosting the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in August.  As many as 25,000 new ‘asylum seekers’ may be descending on the city while it has already been forced to scale back its accommodations due to major financial constraints.

This could make for a very embarrassing situation for Democrats as they poise to nominate their presidential candidate.

Illinois Dems Are Running Out Of OUR Money

Illinois’ out-migration problem is destroying the state’s tax base.

How are those high taxes working for you, Democrats?

Illinois has lost people, AND THEIR MONEY, every single year since at least 2000.

In all, the state budget lost out on about $3.6 BILLION in income tax revenue in 2022 ALONE!

This is what you get from a state that is spectacularly poor at teaching its students math.

Rare Black Bear Sightings In Southern Illinois

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) said that although black bear sightings in Illinois are rare, their established populations in neighboring Missouri and Wisconsin sometimes result in them venturing into Illinois during the summer.

The IDNR confirmed recent sightings in the Illinois counties of Saline, Pope, Williamson and Jackson.https://www.news-gazette.com/news/local/environment/rare-black-bear-sightings-spark-excitement-in-southern-illinois/article_289ff05e-49ea-11ef-a8fa-f7c5171741ae.html
