The mayor of Chicago is seeking government funding to pay reparations to criminals in a move to combat the city’s crime. This is how Chicago works with a progressive and socialist mayor: he wants to award criminals. How about funding our law enforcement and let them do their jobs? The continued handouts by Democrats is proof they do not believe in working towards solutions to reduce crime. Cities outside Chicago are starting to see an uptick in retail theft, robberies, and other crimes as well. The progressive ideology is doing more harm than good, and it shows. We need real solutions through reforms, not reparations.
