Gov. Pritzker is now calling concerned critics of the Gotion EV Plant expanding to Illinois, “xenophobes” and “MAGA Republicans.” Current Illinois policies make businesses seek opportunity in other states, so the Governor lures in the Chinese company Gotion on behalf of taxpayer financing.
Furthermore, top-level democrats show deep concerns about the counterintelligence threat to the United States by China. An Illinois Democrat, U.S. Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, says “The goal of the CCP has become clear: to displace U.S. and other competitors, especially in tomorrow’s strategic industries.”
