Illinois Supreme Court Upholds Assault Weapons Ban

Recently, by a 4-3 vote, the Illinois Supreme Court upheld a Democrat ban on large-capacity firearms in spite of the fact that many law-abiding gun owners and law enforcement advocates are arguing that this law is unconstitutional.

My Reaction to the Illinois Supreme Court’s Ruling On

The ‘Assault’ Weapons Ban

I, and many others, were very disappointed in this purely political move by the Court.

However, this is not the last word, and we must continue to fight for our constitutional rights!

Sounds Like Good News…

…But the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is only painting the picture they think you’re dumb enough to believe: ‘Illinois non-farm unemployment reaches a record high’, ‘unemployment rate stable’, ‘Illinois has experienced consecutive job growth every month this year’, BLAH BLAH BLAH.

*Crickets* on the millions of federal COVID dollars the IDES stole and squandered and the disastrous Illinois policies that have not only encouraged people NOT to work but have forced successful businesses and individuals to leave the state.

The current Director of Commerce and Acting IDES Director during COVID, Kristin Richards (pictured above), claims that ‘Illinois is experiencing a banner year for economic development’.

Yeaahhh…

It was a privilege to visit Charleston Middle School and learn about their leadership program with

Todd Vilardo Superintendent.

But the news school districts across the nation are implementing a four-day school week schedules this fall and that Illinois is considering doing the same is very concerning.  Our children need more time on task to recover from COVID learning loss.
