Rep. Chris Miller, House Colleagues Advocate for Lower Energy Costs for Illinois Families

Rep. Chris Miller (R-Oakland), along with several colleagues at a press conference yesterday, advocated for lower energy costs for Illinois families. The conference highlighted how Governor Pritzker and the radical Democrats’ damaging agenda is negatively impacting hard-working Illinoisans across the state.

“At a time when prices for basic necessities are already at record-highs, the Democrats continue to force Illinoisans to foot the bill for their disastrous policies,” said Miller. “Democrats, led by Governor Pritzker, are completely out-of-touch, and it’s crushing Illinois families.”

One of their initiatives, the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA), was signed into law in 2021 with the goal of shifting Illinois away from reliable energy sources, such as coal, oil, and natural gas, to unreliable renewable energy, causing prices to skyrocket.
