At a noontime ceremony at the University of Illinois at Springfield, State Representative Chris Miller took the Oath of Office to serve the new 101st District as the 103rd General Assembly gets underway.. Rep. Miller (R-Oakland) said legislators have much work to do to turn around Democrat policies that have caused families and businesses to flee our state.
“There’s no question we’re headed in the wrong direction. Under Democrat control, taxes and crime are up, job opportunities are down, and families and businesses are leaving Illinois,” Rep. Miller said. “We are in desperate need of a ‘reset’, and I will be doing all I can this spring to fight for area families, our needs, priorities, and values.”
The 101st Representative District includes parts of Coles, Douglas and Champaign Counties. Municipalities include: Charleston, Mattoon, Arcola, Tuscola, Philo, Sidney, Villa Grove, Lerna, Hindsboro, Camargo, Long View, and Pesotum.
